WAR OF THE RINGS (LORD OF THE RINGS) 32-PIECE PEWTER CHESS SET BY GRAEME ANTHONY 
 
This fabulous WAR OF THE RINGS chess set (based on Lord of the Rings) was made in Australia by Graeme Anthony. I’ve sent pictures to Graeme and he has responded saying:
 
“The set appears to be from the 19 edition of 100 sets. It was made around 1991 … Most of the pieces are no longer source able. We never sold that set into America so it must have been taken there by somebody who purchased it in Australia.”
 
Dating back to the seventies Graeme released over 30 limited edition chess sets of “War of the Rings” but ceased production altogether 10/12/09. Pieces are Nickel Silver plated (light/good side) and Florentine Bronze (dark/evil side). The set is complete including 32 pieces, and all are in very good to excellent condition with no broken/missing parts. The set is quite heavy weighing just about 26 pounds combined (unpacked). The height of the different pieces range from approximately 2 ¾” to 5” (70mm to 125mm).
